About

I’ve watched people waste money on products that promise the world but deliver nothing.

As someone who studied physiotherapy and spent decades as a competitive athlete, I understand what the marketing claims actually mean. More importantly, I know when they’re exaggerated or flat-out misleading.

My Review About exists to translate technical jargon into plain language so you can make informed decisions without needing a medical degree.

From Pool to Research Desk

I dedicated nearly three decades to competitive water polo—five years representing my country’s national team, followed by seven years as head coach where I developed players who still compete at the national level today.

When my playing career ended, I couldn’t simply walk away from sport. It’s not something you can turn off after it’s been your entire life. I moved to South America to study physiotherapy—initially as a way to stay connected to athletics, but I quickly realized something profound: the principles that optimize elite performance are the same ones that improve everyday health for everyone.

My clinical training took me from South America to Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, where I witnessed the incredible intersection of medical-grade technology and rehabilitation. I later worked in Argentina and France, always gravitating toward sports medicine because I saw myself in every athlete who came through the clinic door.

Back in Europe, while waiting for my degree homologation, I worked with the world’s leading therapeutic virtual reality platform, training physiotherapists to integrate advanced rehabilitation technology into clinical practice. My role was ensuring these powerful systems were used correctly to help patients recover—not cause additional problems.

That’s when everything clicked.

The Pattern I Couldn’t Ignore

I watched well-trained physiotherapists struggle with sophisticated technology because they didn’t understand the underlying principles. I saw people buy expensive devices based on impressive marketing claims, use them for two weeks, then toss them in a drawer.

The same device that helped one person improve their health became useless for another. Not because the technology was bad, but because nobody explained how it actually worked or whether the marketing promises were realistic.

I became obsessed with this gap between what companies claim and what products actually deliver.

How This Site Started

During a random conversation with one of my best friends, he asked a simple question: “Why don’t you do this online? You could reach way more people.”

It hit me hard. This was 2020, mid-pandemic lockdown. I had time, I had the background to understand medical claims, and I had a growing frustration with the disconnect between marketing and reality.

Stuck at home, I channeled that energy into building this website. What started as a lockdown project became something I genuinely care about: helping people understand what health tech can realistically do and whether it’s worth the money.

How I Actually Review Products

Translation, Not Tests

I read what manufacturers claim, then translate the technical jargon into plain language. My background helps me spot when claims are exaggerated or scientifically questionable.

Real-World Use

For products I personally test, I use them in real conditions over weeks or months. Fitness training, surfing, climbing, everyday stress. Not lab environments or one-day trials.

Honest Assessment

I only review products I believe offer real value. I explain exactly how to use it, who will benefit most from it, and who should look for something else instead..

What Guides My Work

The same device can improve your health or gather dust in a drawer. The difference is understanding what it actually does.

I don’t review products I don’t believe in. If a device makes bold health claims without substance, or if the user experience is so poor that most people will abandon it quickly, it doesn’t get coverage here. My reviews focus on how to actually use products, who they work best for, and who should choose something different.

My goal isn’t selling the latest gadget. It’s helping you understand which technology actually fits your needs and how to use it effectively.

After three decades as an athlete and years studying human physiology, I’ve learned one thing: knowing when to say “this isn’t for you” is just as important as making recommendations.

Life Beyond Reviews

I’m based in Barcelona with my partner, where I train four times a week. Not chasing podiums anymore, just keeping old injuries manageable and my mind sharp. Elite athletes accumulate more wear and tear than casual trainers, something I deal with daily.

I still play water polo recreationally. You don’t just walk away from a lifelong passion. I’ve also gotten into surfing and climbing, sports that challenge me in completely different ways.

When I personally test devices, they go through these activities. Not sitting on a desk, but actually being worn through workouts, ocean swells, and climbing routes. If it can’t handle real life, you’ll know.
